Abstract

The objective of this study was focused on conducting an analysis on the evidence about possible convergences between neuroscience and education. This discussion is necessary because there has been a wide increase of false beliefs based on brain studies that do not necessarily apply to teaching approaches and methodologies. Such beliefs have entered education resulting in a negative impact on pedagogical decision making. The link between both disciplines is still developing and conso- lidating and although there are certain elements that could connect both fields, particularly from cognitive neuroscience, findings should not be prescriptive yet, but they should be contextualized and developed in every school community, con- sidering the myriad of variables involved in the learning process.
