Creatividad narrativa en estudiantes de dos establecimientos de enseñanza media de la provincia de Ñuble

Abstract

A descriptive study was carried out to know the level of narrative creativity in students of two secondary schools in Ñuble, Chile. 216 middle school students participated. The instrument used was the Creative Imagination Test, Game One (PIC-A). Data were analyzed using Cronbach's alpha and Pearson's correlation (item-test); Descriptive statistics and mean differences were also used. The results show averages of narrative creativity, both in dimensions and total test, it is tending to the lower limit; A high level of reliability (α = .86) and moderate to strong correlations were found (p <.01); there are differences between men and women, and educational levels, but not between establishments. It is concluded that the skills of narrative creativity are not properly developed in schools.
